Get To Know Dr. Robert Lee
Dr. Robert Lee, a board-certified orthodontist and Southern California native, draws inspiration from his upbringing and family. His mother, a school psychologist, instilled in him a sense of care and empathy for others, while his father, an aerospace engineer, cultivated his critical thinking skills and innovative mindset. These formative experiences have shaped Dr. Lee’s treatment philosophy which focuses on treating patients like his own family with integrity, kindness, and excellence.
Knowing that he wanted to be an orthodontist from a young age, Dr. Lee earned his BS in bioengineering and DDS from UCLA. He then completed his Orthodontics Certificate and MS in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at UCSF. He is now a part-time professor at the UCSF Orthodontics Program where he serves as the course director and lectures on clear aligner therapy (e.g., Invisalign).
Dr. Lee is the co-inventor and foremost authority of the InBrace system. He has treated and reviewed more InBrace cases than anyone in the world, and he wrote the textbook on the system. He also created the certification course used by all other InBrace providers in the world.
Dr. Lee is an expert in all aspects of digital orthodontics. He has helped develop many of the digital orthodontic solutions used worldwide. His remarkable contributions to the field of orthodontics are showcased through 25 publications, 7 cover-page articles, 4 granted patents, and 3 patents pending.
Dr. Lee is happily married to his wife, Stephanie, and they have two wonderful children. In his free time, Dr. Lee enjoys playing basketball and tennis. Dr. Lee looks forward to welcoming you and your family to the Life Orthodontics family!

Get To Know Dr. Sarah Pi
Dr. Sarah Pi is a board-certified orthodontist who grew up in Southern California. Dr. Pi studied psychobiology on the pre-health track at UCLA, but it wasn’t until she spent time working in a dental office after college that she discovered her passion for changing people’s lives through transforming their smiles. She then went on to complete her DDS, Orthodontics Certificate, and MS in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at UCSF. Through her experiences being a scheduling coordinator, dental assistant, treatment coordinator, and office manager, she has gained an extensive understanding of the whole patient experience, which has contributed to her belief in treating patients with the utmost care and compassion to ensure that they are heard, understood, and comfortable throughout their orthodontic journeys.
Dr. Pi is a renowned expert in digital orthodontics and the InBrace system. She has over 15 publications, many on digital orthodontics which have been published in the top orthodontic journals. In addition, she is a clinical advisor for InBrace where she teaches and advises other orthodontists throughout the nation on how to use the InBrace system.
In her free time, Dr. Pi can be found spending time with friends and family, drinking boba, or singing karaoke. Dr. Pi looks forward to welcoming you and your family to the Life Orthodontics family!

WHAT TO EXPECT
Your First Visit
When you first walk through our doors, you will be greeted by our comfortable, calm environment and our friendly office staff. You will be invited to sit down and relax as you fill out any new patient forms prior to your appointment. Feel free to make yourself right at home, and have a refreshment or two. Then let us take care of the rest!
After giving you a quick tour of your future Ortho Home, Dr. Lee or Dr. Pi will conduct a comprehensive examination of your smile and bite utilizing modern equipment that gently and comfortably scans your teeth and provides them with all the information they need to determine the best treatment options for you.
Dr. Lee or Dr. Pi will then sit down with you to discuss their findings and align with your smile goals and unique needs, working together with you to create the optimal treatment plan customized to you. Understanding that beginning orthodontic treatment is a big decision, they will take the time to answer any questions you have and put you at ease with honest, expert recommendations. We will always be upfront with you about the costs and length of treatment, so you can have peace of mind about your orthodontic journey.

With our cutting-edge CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) scanner, we can easily capture 3D x-rays of your jaws and teeth allowing us to more comprehensively evaluate and plan your bite and smile.
